As a transplant from the San Francisco Bay Area by way of Chicago and sundry other geographic locations I now have called Las Vegas home for over 7 years. While photography has always been a passion, I decided as a part of my midlife crisis to also make it my vocation.
Currently I find my muse in a bottle of Patrón, a brunette who may or may not also be a red-head and two spawn.
Most photographers tend to focus on a specific theme or topic, however, I find inspiration in a number of sources, which is either a resort of being uniquely talented in seeing things in a totally different perspective or just means I am completely unfocused. The outcome of that debate is still pending.
In my work, you might find an unusual perspective on everyday items, machines, textures and nature. Most recently have found that people aren't half bad to shoot either. Well, with a camera. The other way would not work out nearly as well for me in a court of law.
I've found Las Vegas to be a particularly exciting place to shoot in that inspiration is everywhere. From the lights to the people to the natural resources - there is something fresh, new and stirring every day. This has led me to 2 editions of a 365 project in which I challenge myself to capture a daily image that chronicles my perspective.
Watch this space soon for a much needed update.
